Emotions

Saturday, 31st May, 2014 turned as a black day to me. The tragedy came as a big earthquake in my family. Sun-set at mid-noon has become the reality in life. Memories kept flooding in mind the moment I think of him.
A span of 28 years (04/07/1986 to 31/05/2014) too short but left with tremendous enthusiasm and vibrancy. His entry in Pandyas family was so shining and everybody took a lot of care of him. He was nurtured like a flower throughout his life. He cultivated all discipline, sportsmanship, ideal son, loyal friend and what not !  Many more questions arising without answers.

Graduated from H.L. College of Commerce, Ahmedabad, did MBA (Finance) – CFP to venture into the professional carrier. He attained all his educational qualification with distinction. His passion for cricket was ahead of education but he had never left either education or sports behind his achievements. From the age of around 10 years he started playing cricket from school as opening batsman and wicket keeper. He achieved number of trophies, medals, certificates and honours during his entire carrier of cricketing. The same are reflected in his photos.

Started his service career from Vadodara, left for Mumbai in Freedom Financial Planner, got selected in Deloitte Company from Mumbai itself and posted at Hyderabad; where he joined on 27th June, 2011. At all places he had shown his excellence and earned affection of colleagues as well as of those whom he met.

Because of his mother’s illness, he preferred to leave the job from Hyderabad but this could not happen. Reason was the company – Deloitte never wanted him to run away. Also the officers concerned granted the option of work from home as a special case to the junior most employee of the company, which could help in taking care of his mother. This shows the confidence and devotion he had with Deloitte. He used to talk with me a lot about Deloitte, his colleagues and professionals at Hyderabad and abroad. Therefore, I knew many people in Deloitte even when I had not met to them personally. In all these ups and downs, his mother passed away on 14th March, 2013. He had very strong association with his mother and nothing wrong to say she was Friend, Philosopher and Guide to him. I was much worried for him as how he would bear the event of his mother’s passing. But he showed lot of maturity though crying at heart. After this incident, again he wanted to leave Hyderabad; but I thought that one should not become hindrance to the upcoming bright future. I insisted to continue for some time at Hyderabad.

We got him married with Sonika of his choice on 04/02/2014. He made their trip to Bali-Indonesia during 6th February to 12th February, 2014 and returned. Deloitte considered their working place at Delhi and they were to move on 5th June, 2014. Friends gathered at his residence on 30th May, 2014 and late at night made a plan of picnic at Kantala waterfall, 300 KMs away from Hyderabad and started in the morning at around 3.30 AM on 31st May, 2014 which turned the whole cycle to an end. Tragedy took before the eyes of his wife Sonika. Her shouting and crying are still knocking my mind and heart.

This shocking incident moved one to all and messages of condolences kept coming. When I read the messages of Peeyush, Navin Pasala, Ashish Dada, Parul Gupta, Manas, Parth, Archana, Vivek, Larry Rowe (US-Dallas), of Deloitte company itself and many more, I feel that he had lived more with colleagues as a devoted friend, devoted soul and caring personality. Feelings expressed by his teachers – Mrs. Hansa Upadhyay and Dr. Mrs. Varsha Parekh show that how a student can occupy his position beyond a student… He had become their “son” and I feel he was Son of All.

As a company Deloitte-Hyderabad has remained at the back of all processing of papers in such tragic incident. Literally I don’t know the officers concerned but have to put a name who bridged all procedures, he is Ul Haque, Syed Abrar. He is so polite in all dealings and always shown eagerness to help out. I feel the quality of Abrar has shown the height of his approach and attitude as well as the credit of Deloitte. I acknowledge my sense of thankfulness towards him and Deloitte as a company.

When I look upon his 28 years of life, he had occupied so much so in me and that had emerged as to document his memories as “Yaadein”. The thought, I would say some mad thoughts born out of my feelings narrated to Vaishakhi (Sweetu) his beloved sister, she shaped all in her professional designing and made it a reality of my mind. I express my sense of gratitude towards her for untiring day and night works for “Yaadein”.

His love for “Daddy”- No words, No expression. But he gave me a letter of his thoughts and feelings for me on the last day of my retirement i.e. 30th June, 2012 showed his love for me and his writing, “Daddy on this day of your retirement, I pray to God that you get strength and the power to overcome all the mysteries of life!” How he has written this? Is it for such dreadful event…!!!???

In both the events of my grief, I received lot of support from my family, brothers, sisters, friends, relatives and good wishers of whom it is difficult to mention the names. With deep sense of my feelings from the bottom of heart, I express my indebtedness to all. All the while I feel to be fortunate to have caring brothers and sisters I have.

I would only say – His Memory a Treasure, He was Loved Beyond Words, Missed Beyond Measures who had Left Everlasting Impact. The void created would never be filled… He would remain in my thoughts and heart.  Losing faith from almighty…!!!

I love You daddy
